Two cents about me.  I am a little bit of this and a little bit of that.  Not quite sure which direction I am going in always, but I am defiantly headed somewhere.  Known as a culinary curler from Detroit, but living somewhere else.  Learning and cooking are my life.  I enjoy charcuterie projects, farming in my city backyard, and retaining recipes from our grandparents and great grandparents.  Fat is flavor and fat is my friend.  I totally enjoy the whole cow, pig, and duck.

My education background is varied a BS in Anthropology (Osteology), MS in Kinesiology, certificate in Baking & Pastries, and Associates in Culinary Arts.  Dining out is critical to my understanding of the ever-changing culinary world.  I am not a picky eater, I nosh on street food all the way up to high-end stuff.  Sometimes a $5 dinner can blow your mind away.  I have a difficult time saying no to ice cream, margaritas, and foie.

Is always looking for good times, the white rabbit, great cheese, a nice glass of wine, great dance music with a solid beat, a laugh, perfect madelines, and interesting people.

Themes that you may run across in my rants:

  • travel
  • competition
  • charcuterie
  • desserts (cookies)
  • hanging with the cookies (cooks)
  • restaurants
  • random stuff
